Paris Saint-Germain wants both Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo to play for the club next season. Ronaldo is still tied to Manchester United for another season but is weighing up his future at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo is not part of Erik ten Hag’s plans at the club, according to the English media. The new Manchester United permanent boss will take over from interim manager Ralf Rangnick in July. With United also outside the Champions League spots for next season, Ronaldo will have to consider his future. Now 37, Cristiano still sees himself as capable of playing at the highest level in football and PSG could prove to be the perfect destination.
With Kylian Mbappe almost certain to join Real Madrid after his deal at Parc des Princes runs out on 30 June, PSG wants Ronaldo to partner up Messi and Neymar up front.
Talking to Sportskeeda, former Arsenal star Paul Merson said he’d be “surprised if Erik ten Hag would want Ronaldo” around.
“PSG could go for him and make him their short-term replacement for Kylian Mbappe,” Merson added. “PSG only wants one thing – the Champions League. Ronaldo is a proven asset in the competition – he’s scored goals, he sells shirts, he’s done it all,” Merson went on saying.
“Ligue 1 is an easy league and Ronaldo will be able to focus on the Champions League if he joins PSG. With Lionel Messi already at the club, we may well see two of the greatest players of all time playing for the same team,” the former England international concluded.

Ronaldo to PSG: what are the odds?
The bookies still favor Sporting Lisbon to sign Ronaldo this summer. At +350, Cristiano’s boyhood club is still regarded as the likeliest destination for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner. PSG follows in the odds race, though, at +450. Real Madrid, who was also spoken about as a potential bidder in the battle for Ronaldo, now stands at +800, with Manchester City at +1200. Bayern sits at +1400, the same as Juventus. Inter is a long shot at +2000, ahead of Chelsea at +2500.
Cristiano Ronaldo played 36 games since his return to Manchester United last summer. He netted 23 times, being by far the most efficient player on the team. In the Champions League alone he scored six goals in seven appearances, fuelling United’s hopes of glory in the most important European club competition. Sadly for their fans, the Red Devils couldn’t get past Atletico Madrid in the Round of 16.
During a fantastic career, Ronaldo also played for the likes of Juventus and Real Madrid at club level, winning trophy after trophy and beating record after record. He is the highest goal scorer in international football history, having netted 115 times for Portugal. Also, he’s officially recognized as the highest scorer the game has ever seen, with his tally currently at 812, ahead of the Austrian Josef Bican, Brazilians Romario and Pele, and the Argentine superstar Lionel Messi.
